How it works

Component Weight from Percentage

Multiply total batch weight by each fiber's target percentage. A 100g batch of 70/30 wool/silk needs 70g wool and 30g silk.

Component weight = Total weight × (Percentage ÷ 100)

Percentage from Weights

Weigh each fiber after blending to verify ratios. Adjust by adding more of deficient component.

Percentage = (Component weight ÷ Total weight) × 100

Volume vs Weight Blending

Different fibers have different densities. A cup of silk weighs less than a cup of wool — weight ratios ensure consistent blend percentages.
