Use unchanged 2024 Adult Compendium codes 19150, 19160 and 19170: 4.3, 6.3 and 8.0 MET, respectively. Convert mass to kilograms and calculate each effort duration separately.

Interpretation limits

For the source population ages 19–59. Gross energy includes a standard baseline during activity. Additional energy subtracts that baseline, not measured resting metabolism. Results are not daily totals or nutrition targets.
