Base bevel is measured from the flat base plane. An inward side bevel is measured from perpendicular to that plane; the corresponding guide angle is 90° minus the side bevel.
Include both metal faces
The included angle between the metal edge faces equals the side guide angle plus the base bevel. It is distinct from the tilt of the ski against snow. Base structure and detuning are separate operations.
