How it works

One documented empirical fit

The calculator divides the entered Kelvin value by 100, applies a low-input logarithmic or high-input power branch, then rounds and clamps each channel to an 8-bit sRGB value. This is not a physical black-body, spectral, photometric, fixture, material, room, camera, or human-response simulation.

Bounded numeric domain

Inputs from 1,000 K through 40,000 K are accepted only because that is the documented domain of this empirical fit. Those endpoints are not product limits, room recommendations, safe ranges, or evidence that a real source follows the model path.

Screen record with explicit exclusions

The RGB and HEX outputs agree with the same rounded sRGB channels. Exact product spectrum, chromaticity or tint, lumens or illuminance, CRI/TM-30, flicker, dimming, glare, display profile, material appearance and affected-person response require separate evidence.
