Flooring Carpet Calculator

Reconcile reviewed full-width carpet cuts, assigned matching stock and supplier length billing. Compare continuous or separate purchases and estimate cushion rolls independently.

Use this result well

Inputs that matter
Reviewed full-width cut lines, assigned stock, supplier increments/minimum/maximum and separate cushion scope
Output to expect
Reconcile installer-reviewed full-width cuts, assigned matching stock, supplier billing terms and separately measured cushion quantities.
How it works
Subtract per-line matching stock; round the continuous total or each separate cut to supplier billing terms
  • No universal waste, pattern allowance, cut reuse or installation readiness is inferred.
  • Keep exact source revisions, original measurement units, quote basis and independent Project records.

Choose your path

Built around the job you need to finish

Reconcile installer-reviewed full-width cuts, assigned matching stock, supplier billing terms and separately measured cushion quantities.

Installer with matching remnants

Credit only stock assigned to actual cut destinations.

Enter reviewed full-width cut lines and distinct verified stock cuts per line.

No arbitrary area credit or automatic stock splicing is inferred.

Buyer reconciling supplier billing

Distinguish a continuous order from separately rounded cuts.

Enter increment, minimum and maximum; compare billing modes and quoted unit.

Prices full billed width and length, while overlong orders require review.

Flooring Project coordinator

Keep cushion scope and saved material records independent.

Enter separately measured cushion area/usable roll coverage, download and save/reload.

Preserves all older material records and does not mark installation gates complete.

How it works

Reviewed cut lines

Each line names a final full-width cut length, required count and distinct assigned stock cuts. Include all trim, pattern and defect provisions in the final length.

Supplier billing

Round the continuous total once or each separate new cut individually. Apply the minimum then round to a multiple of the increment from zero. Reject a billed piece above the supplier maximum rather than silently splitting it.

Separate cushion and quotes

Carpet cost uses billed full-width area or length. Cushion uses independently measured area, usable roll coverage and full-roll stock. Labor, tax, delivery and unlisted charges remain excluded.

Example Scenarios

Assign distinct usable full-width stock pieces to real cut destinations.

Compare continuous and separate billing with actual increments, minimums and maximum piece length.

Measure cushion separately and retain its product, usable coverage and quote alongside independent carpet records.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Crediting arbitrary leftover area as usable stock cuts

Use actual measured scope and a product-specific reviewed seam, pile and cutting plan.

Treating saved arithmetic as installation approval

Confirm site conditions, product instructions, supplier terms and installer acceptance separately.

FAQ

No. Enter final installer-reviewed full-width cut lengths with all trim, pattern and defect provisions already included.

Continuous rounds the summed new length once; separate rounds each new cut to the supplier minimum and increment before multiplying its count.

No. Assigned stock must supply the exact full-width cut. A billed piece above the supplier maximum requires a reviewed change, not an invented seam or split.

No. Enter its approved product, separately measured scope, usable coverage and full-roll inventory independently.

Only this tool’s own output fields are explicitly saved. Other carpet and plank records stay separate, and no installation gate is completed.
