At least one lower or upper limit is required. The arithmetic treats each bound as inclusive; apply your protocol’s actual acceptance rule separately.
Compare interval endpoints
When an uncertainty bound is supplied, subtract it from the reading and add it to the reading. Compare both endpoints with the entered limits. Blank uncertainty is reported as not supplied.

Use a suitable calibrated meter and the prescribed sampling method. Display resolution alone does not establish accuracy, and a numerical comparison cannot validate a whole food process.
