JSON to XML

Convert JSON using explicit typed-member or named-element mappings, escaped XML 1.0 text, root-name controls and data-loss refusal.

Built around the job you need to finish

An application-specific mapping, not a universal JSON/XML standard or a guarantee that an XSD or receiving API accepts the output.

Integration developer

Convert JSON using explicit typed-member or named-element mappings, escaped XML 1.0 text, root-name controls and data-loss refusal.

Choose the mapping and root required by a reviewed receiving contract, then compare the XML output.

Receives XML under a chosen documented mapping, not an inferred universal contract.

How are arbitrary JSON keys mapped?

Test arbitrary keys, empty containers, null and escaping before using a conversion in an integration.

Typed members use a name attribute, retaining spaces and punctuation. Named-element mode requires unprefixed ASCII names and refuses unsupported keys rather than renaming them.

Keyboard or mobile user

Complete the task with native controls and readable responsive result/error states.

Select mapping and indentation, correct a named-element error and copy the current XML.

Named controls expose current result state without pointer-only interactions or silent stale output.

How are types and special values represented?

A type attribute distinguishes objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans and null. Arrays use item children. XML-forbidden characters and ambiguous duplicate or precision-sensitive JSON are refused.

Input is limited to 200,000 characters, 50 nesting levels and 10,000 nodes; conversion output is capped at 500,000 characters. Reduce oversized documents explicitly.

This panel keeps input in browser memory without automatic history. Copying transfers output to your clipboard. YAML Formatter can explicitly save bounded source and results to a local Project. Avoid secrets.
