Saddle Fit Calculator

Reproduce and reconcile one completed, source-owned nine-point saddle-fit observation checklist without issuing a remote fit verdict.

Use this result well

Inputs that matter
One de-identified completed saddle-fit checklist scope and basis; responsible qualified fitter, veterinarian or reviewed source plus revision; exact horse/rider context; saddle identity and tree/panel/pad/girth configuration; completed static/ridden session conditions; checklist protocol/version; all nine source-row states; and an optional independently prepared same-checklist source with three counts
Output to expect
All nine preserved source observations, within-protocol/follow-up/not-assessed tallies, assessed coverage and optional signed computed-minus-independent differences for the same checklist
How it works
Validate every provenance field, classify each completed source row into one of three explicit record states, count the nine rows, then reconcile an optional independent three-count tally that must also total nine
  • Confirm that the horse/rider pair, exact saddle and configuration, placement, pad, girthing, static/ridden stages, gaits, assessor, date and protocol revision all belong to the same completed session. Product width labels, visual impressions, photos and records from another combination are not interchangeable.
  • Use the result only for transcription and tally QA. It does not inspect or approve static/dynamic fit, pressure, pain, lameness, welfare, rider balance or product suitability; recommend a seat/tree width, clearance, pad, girth, purchase, alteration or riding action; diagnose or treat; or replace a qualified saddle fitter, veterinarian, manufacturer instructions, the responsible protocol and direct monitoring.

Choose your path

Built around the job you need to finish

Reproduce and reconcile one de-identified, already completed nine-point saddle-fit observation checklist without inspecting or approving the horse/rider/saddle combination.

Qualified saddle fitter transferring a completed visit sheet

Preserve every completed observation and the exact equipment/session context without a generic website overwriting professional ownership.

Name the source and revision, horse/rider pair, saddle inventory/configuration, session conditions and protocol, then copy all nine recorded states.

Gets a structured, auditable row record and deliberate save while the original fitter remains responsible for interpretation and action.

Veterinary team reconciling a supplied checklist

Catch category-count transcription differences without converting an equipment record into a pain or lameness diagnosis.

Enter the completed veterinarian-owned checklist and optionally compare its calculated 9-row tally with an independently prepared same-session tally.

Sees exact signed count differences and the preserved source context, with no riding, treatment, welfare or fit verdict.

Training assessor checking documentation quality

Teach complete source ownership and explicit missing observations without pretending a browser can perform saddle fitting.

Use the reviewed-training basis, document the exercise protocol, classify every row including not assessed, and verify the tally steps.

Can assess record completeness and arithmetic while fit selection, adjustment and clinical judgment stay outside the exercise.

How it works

Preserve One Completed Record

Copy the responsible assessor/source, saddle identity, tree/panel/pad/girth configuration, placement and static/ridden conditions from the same completed record. Similar product labels or observations from another combination are not equivalent evidence.

One horse/rider pair + one exact saddle/configuration + one completed session + one protocol revision

Classify Nine Source Rows

Preserve the source's recorded state for general feel, headplate width/shape, tree position/scapular freedom, panel length, gullet/spinal clearance, girth alignment, balance/stability, panel contact and rider fit. A row marked within protocol is not Enbilex approval.

Within-protocol + Follow-up + Not assessed = 9 source rows

Reconcile an Optional Independent Tally

Enter an independently prepared source and all three counts together. Matching counts check transcription only; they do not validate the assessor, protocol, observation, saddle, horse, rider, welfare or fitness for use.

Signed difference = computed row count − independent same-checklist count

Example Scenarios

Copy the exact pair, saddle inventory, configuration, session conditions, protocol version and nine recorded observations into a structured record before archiving or handoff.

Preserve the veterinarian-owned observation record and compare its computed category counts with an independently prepared same-session tally without turning agreement into a diagnosis.

Use a reviewed training example to verify that all nine rows and missing observations are carried forward explicitly while real-world fitting decisions remain outside the exercise.

FAQ

No. It reproduces an already completed source checklist and counts its recorded states. It cannot inspect placement, contact, pressure, movement, pain, lameness, rider balance or dynamic behavior and does not approve the combination.

Current research and professional guidance do not support one universal rider-dimension formula. Rider, horse, saddle construction, positioning and movement interact, and Hartpury reported that published rider-specific guidance was still being developed.

It means only that the responsible source used that state in the completed record. Enbilex does not know the source threshold, observation quality or current condition and does not convert the state into fit approval.

Not with the optional tally alone. It is intended for a second transcription of the same nine rows from the same completed session and protocol. Different assessors, dates, configurations, horses or conditions need separate records and professional interpretation.

Follow the responsible record's escalation process and contact the appropriate qualified saddle fitter or veterinarian. This worksheet cannot decide whether to ride, alter equipment, diagnose a condition or choose treatment.

About Saddle Fit Calculator

Preserve one de-identified, already completed saddle-fit checklist from a named qualified saddle fitter, veterinarian or reviewed training source. Record the exact horse/rider pair, saddle inventory and configuration, static/ridden conditions, protocol version and all nine source states. The result checks transcription and tallies only; it does not inspect the combination, diagnose pain or lameness, approve fit, or recommend a seat size, tree width, pad, girth, purchase, alteration or riding action.
