Record the kite and control-system model and year. Open the manufacturer’s setup, packing and maintenance instructions for that combination. Identify which release and line arrangement is actually fitted before using instructions or photographs from a different product.
Choose the instructor-approved area and conditions for setup. Keep the kite secured as specified in the manual while inspecting it. Separate loose equipment from the lines and maintain the clear area needed for the eventual launch; assembly does not authorize launch.
Follow the model’s inspection sequence for damage, knots, routing and contamination. Record any snow, ice or debris that affects the checks. Resolve tangles only with the kite properly secured; do not change bridle lengths or tuning settings to compensate for an unexplained flying problem.
Have the instructed partner check the connections and functioning safety system against the manual. Record missing parts or uncertainty and stop until resolved. Keep the separate supervised launch checklist available after setup; a complete packing inventory does not verify release operation.
Use the taught landing method and secure the kite before organizing lines. Follow the product-specific folding and packing instructions, keeping the control system identifiable. Do not borrow a closure, drainage or compression method from another foil construction without manufacturer confirmation.
Use the manufacturer’s drying and storage guidance after the session. Record date, defects, repairs and service requirements, with photographs where useful. Mark unresolved equipment as unavailable so the next session starts from its actual condition rather than yesterday’s packing checklist.
