Painting DIY Wallpaper Calculator

Reconcile reviewed wallpaper bolt demand, matching stock, reserve, supplier packs and quoted pricing units before purchase.

Use this result well

Inputs that matter
Reviewed physical-bolt demand, explicit reserve, verified matching full stock, supplier packs, minimum/increment and quoted billing units
Output to expect
New physical need, sale packs, delivered bolts, surplus, billed quote units and optional material-only cost
How it works
Subtract matching stock, round only new demand to supplier packs/minimum/increment and price the independently entered billed units
  • Reconcile physical continuous bolts against single/double/triple naming and the exact quote unit; no universal package coverage is assumed.
  • Verify matching stock, lot, reserve, supplier terms and excluded delivery/tax/labor; saving does not place an order or approve a room.

Choose your path

Built around the job you need to finish

Reconcile physical-bolt demand, stock, reserve, supplier packs and quote units without area-to-roll inference.

Buyer reconciling a single-roll quote

Distinguish pricing units from physical bolts.

Enter reviewed demand, pack contents and billed quote units per pack.

Does not confuse one quoted single roll with one delivered double-roll bolt.

Decorator with matching stock

Credit only verified full bolts and declare reserve separately.

Record exact product/lot, stock, reserve, minimum and increment.

Sees new purchase and surplus without a blanket extra percentage.

Household budget reviewer

Distinguish unknown price from explicit zero.

Review billed and delivered quantities with a documented optional price.

Keeps material-only cost separate from a complete installed budget.

How it works

Reviewed physical demand

No wall-area conversion or automatic pattern allowance is applied. Count only full matching bolts; partial remnants do not count as whole stock.

New bolts needed = max(0, demand + explicit reserve − verified matching full stock)

Supplier pack rounding

Apply the minimum and increment only when new material is needed. Delivered physical bolts and surplus remain separate from sale-pack count.

Packs = round up to increment(max(ceil(new bolts / bolts per pack), minimum))

Quote-unit pricing

The pricing unit may differ from both a physical bolt and a sale pack. Blank price means not estimated; explicit zero is a zero-price quote. Labor, preparation, delivery and tax are excluded.

Billed units = packs × quote units per pack; material cost = billed units × quoted unit price

Example Scenarios

A quote can bill two single-roll units for one continuous physical bolt. Enter the supplier’s actual pack contents and pricing factor rather than doubling delivered bolts.

Seven required bolts plus one reserve, less two matching bolts, need six new bolts. Two bolts per pack and a two-pack increment deliver eight new bolts in four packs.

Keep purchase quantities while leaving price blank. Changing product, bolt size, currency or quote basis clears the old price for review.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Treating quoted single rolls as continuous physical bolts

Enter physical bolts per sale pack and quoted pricing units per pack separately, then reconcile the supplier quote.

Automatically adding a waste percentage or crediting partial remnants as full stock

Use a reviewed cut requirement, explicit whole-bolt reserve and verified matching full stock only.

FAQ

It is one continuous piece with the exact width and length entered. A supplier’s single/double/triple naming does not by itself establish those dimensions.

From an independently checked wall/cut schedule for the exact product. This purchasing tool cannot infer it from room area.

No new packs are required, even if a supplier minimum exists. The result still shows the remaining surplus after demand and reserve.

Yes, when the actual quote bills that quantity per sale pack. Physical bolts, packs and order increments remain whole counts.

No. JSON download, copy, print request and explicit Project Save create records only. Supplier confirmation, room gates and acceptance remain separate.

About Painting DIY Wallpaper Calculator

Translate a separately reviewed physical-bolt requirement into supplier sale packs and billed units. Keep matching full stock and deliberate reserve visible. A continuous double-roll bolt may be billed in multiple single-roll units; always use the actual supplier terms rather than a universal coverage estimate.
