  • Dry Your Filament

    Moisture in PLA/PETG causes stringing and weak layers. Store filament in sealed bags with desiccant; dry at 45–55°C for 4+ hours if needed.

  • Never Leave First Print Unattended

    Thermal runaway and filament blob failures can cause fires. Use a smoke detector near your printer and remote monitoring camera.

  • Calibrate E-Steps and Flow

    Accurate extrusion calibration saves 10–15% filament waste and improves dimensional accuracy across all prints.

  • Batch Similar Prints

    Printing multiple copies in one job saves heating time and bed leveling — amortize setup cost across the batch.

Safety Notes

  • 3D printers operate at 200–260°C with moving parts — keep children and pets away during operation.
  • Print in a ventilated area; ABS and some resin printers emit VOCs. Enclose ABS prints or use PLA/PETG indoors.
