Workflow

  1. Record the symptom and operating state

    Map affected zones and mark pressure test points. Record gauge range, units, source conditions and which valves or other water uses are active. Compare static and flowing measurements only with their conditions clearly labeled. Keep an earlier normal record if available.

  2. Inspect accessible leaks and restrictions

    With the supply isolated and pressure relieved as required, inspect accessible filters, valves, fittings and lines. Look for damaged or displaced parts and unexpected wet areas. Follow the product service instructions and record each finding before opening additional parts.

  3. Compare intended demand with measured delivery

    Total the emitter groups that run together and compare them with the designed supply conditions. Collect timed samples at marked locations and review where delivery differs. Ask the installer to evaluate pipe, valve, elevation and regulator losses if the evidence points beyond routine maintenance.

  4. Make one supported correction

    Use the evidence and equipment instructions to repair a known leak, service an identified restriction or have the zone arrangement corrected. Record the part or setting changed and the expected observation. Obtain hydraulic review before changing pumps, pipe sizing or regulator design.

  5. Repeat the original measurements

    Return to the same operating state and test points. Compare pressure and timed delivery with the original record, inspect leaks and observe performance across the zone. Save the outcome and escalate remaining unexplained differences with the measurement log.
