Workflow

  1. Specify workloads and acceptance tests

    List the applications or games, display resolution, required connections, noise constraints and parts you can reuse. Define a test that represents the actual workload and a total spending limit.

  2. Verify the exact parts together

    Check CPU socket and motherboard firmware support, RAM type and supported configurations, storage slots, case dimensions, cooler clearance and GPU dimensions. Review the manufacturer’s power-supply recommendation and all power connectors.

  3. Compare complete build quotes

    Collect dated prices for the entire usable build, including taxes, shipping, operating-system licensing if needed, cooling, cables and peripherals. Compare quantity 1 complete build against quantity 1.

  4. Assemble using the component manuals

    Work on an appropriate static-safe surface with the system disconnected from mains power. Follow handling guidance and the motherboard installation sequence. Confirm standoffs, cooler mounting and power connectors before first start.

  5. Test defaults before optional tuning

    Start with supported default settings. Check detected hardware, firmware, drivers, temperatures and stability against manufacturer limits while running the planned workload. Back up a stable configuration before optional memory or performance tuning.
