Translate an explicit reference capacity and capacity factor into energy over the stated period. Zero production is valid; the capacity factor must already represent the intended delivered-energy boundary.

Period kWh = reference kW × capacity factor/100 × period hours.

Power-curve energy from speed bins

Calculate period energy from documented wind-speed duration bins and an electrical turbine curve. Include calm and cut-out periods, specify period coverage and apply each loss once.

Gross kWh = Σ P(speedᵢ) × hoursᵢ; net kWh = gross × availability × (1−additional loss).
