Compare aligned and alternating half-row-offset grids within a rectangular site using explicit rotor diameter, center spacing and edge clearance. Rank only how many whole turbines fit these two fixed grid families.

Whole columns = floor((usable width−rotor diameter−row offset)/crosswind pitch)+1; whole rows use the downwind pitch. Alternating rows use a half-pitch offset.
