How it works

Dilution math

The calculator treats one water change as immediate uniform mixing: removed tank water is replaced by source water with its own nitrate level. It reports whether the entered target is already met, mathematically reachable in one change, or below the source-water limit.

Conditioner dose

The displayed conditioner amount scales the user-entered label dose to replacement volume. Some products or workflows direct treatment of total tank volume or a special-use dose, so the current label overrides this scenario.
