How it works

Brew ratio math

A 1:R ratio means one gram of coffee for every R grams of water. When water is known, divide it by R; when coffee is known, multiply it by R.

Mass inputs, not cup yield

The result reports ingredient mass only. It does not estimate retained water, evaporation, final beverage volume, grind setting, temperature, or brew time because those depend on equipment and technique.

Batch scaling

Each ingredient mass is multiplied by the whole-number batch count. The ratio stays unchanged.
