How it works

Start from Documented VA

Copy volt-amperes from the responsible schedule. Watts and VA are not automatically interchangeable; any power-factor or conversion method must be documented outside this tool.

Connected total VA = Σ entered line VA

Copy, Do Not Choose, Multipliers

The same numeric factor is not valid for every load class. Current NFPA material applies 75% only under defined appliance conditions and excludes several equipment categories.

Line schedule VA = connected VA × entered multiplier ÷ 100

Stop Before Capacity Decisions

A complete adopted-code calculation can require other loads, tables, noncoincident choices, voltage/phase and local rules. This output does not determine amperes, service rating, conductor or protection.

Electrical load schedules commonly use volt-amperes. Do not substitute watts unless the controlling method documents the conversion and any power-factor treatment.

Yes, when the named schedule explicitly requires it. The field accepts a positive multiplier up to 1000%, but acceptance does not mean that factor is code-correct for a particular load.

No. Voltage, phase, method sequence, neutral treatment and other conditions are not captured here. The tool deliberately supplies no amperes or service rating.
