How it works

Generator running and starting-event comparison

Compare a documented essential-load inventory and start-event groups with actual generator continuous and temporary ratings. Each start value is the load's TOTAL draw during startup, not extra starting watts. Loads sharing an event label are assumed to start together; all other listed loads are already running. VA totals are conservative sums of apparent-power magnitudes.

Event W/VA = total running W/VA + Σ(starting total − running) for the event group. Compare continuous W/VA, every event W/VA and its duration with the candidate ratings.
