How it works

Split-phase demand reconciliation

Reconcile a documented 120/240-type split-phase service or feeder calculation by load category and leg. Enter each category's connected VA, independently established demand percentage and separately required VA adder. Select the method with the authority reviewing the installation; no blanket 40% demand factor or automatic service size is supplied.

Category demand = connected VA × entered % / 100 + adder VA; L1/L2 current = allocated leg VA ÷ line-to-neutral voltage.

Panel space and circuit inventory

Count physical panel spaces and supported circuit positions from an actual equipment schedule. Breaker pole count, occupied spaces and supported circuits are separate manufacturer-defined quantities, especially for tandem and quad devices.

Used spaces = Σ(quantity × spaces each); used circuits = Σ(quantity × circuits each).
