Reference & details

How it works

Entered quantities and terms

Estimate batches of one dish or one interchangeable category using the servings you choose. Maintain contributor names and different dishes in a separate signup list.

Calculation

Required servings = ceil(guests × servings per guest) + extra servings; batches = ceil(required servings ÷ servings per batch)

Scope and limits

Different dishes are not interchangeable just because each is called a serving. No automatic category percentages, signup management or guest notifications. Zero demand produces zero batches.

FAQ

No. Keep a separate list with contributor, dish, yield, ingredients, arrival time and holding needs.

Do not treat a dessert serving as a missing main meal. Calculate each dish or genuinely interchangeable category separately.
