How it works

Recessed-light photometric grid

Create a centered rectangular grid using the exact luminaire's spacing criteria in two directions and its height above the work plane. This supports initial direct-light uniformity planning; it does not determine target illuminance, glare, wall washing or task-light placement.

Maximum pitch X/Y = SC X/Y × (ceiling height − work-plane height). Grid counts = ceil(room dimension / maximum pitch); actual pitch = dimension / count.
