Verify filter fit and actual pressure data, set supported inspection dates, record completed service and review airflow or loading concerns.
Record equipment and filter model numbers, nominal and actual dimensions, quantity, access location, airflow direction and the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions. Ask the service provider which user-accessible tasks are intended for this system. Photograph the installed orientation and record the date of the last confirmed change.
Discuss the filtration objective with the service provider and obtain the proposed filter’s documented pressure drop at the relevant airflow. Compare it with the existing filter on a common basis and the assessed pressure allowance. Use the blower performance table or measured point to check that the intended airflow remains available.
Use the equipment/filter instructions and the service provider’s assessment to choose an inspection interval. Record the actual last-completed date and calculate the next review. Where service is based on runtime, enter a consistent meter’s last and current readings and the documented threshold, with a realistic future daily-use assumption.
Follow the equipment’s safe shutdown and access procedure. If the filter is intended to be user-replaceable, install the verified specification in the stated direction and check fit, sealing and panel closure. Use the actual product instructions for any washable filter; ask a technician to handle unsafe access, damage or unexpected contamination.
Confirm normal operation using the manufacturer’s instructions. Record noises, airflow concerns or persistent room comfort problems. If a technician measures airflow or static pressure, keep the filter condition, fan setting and test method with the results and compare against the same design basis.
At the next inspection, compare filter condition, fit and any documented pressure/airflow changes. Investigate unusually rapid loading, bypass, moisture or damage with the service provider. Adjust the next inspection only on a supported basis, keep the manufacturer’s requirements visible and export the current record.
Keep filter specification, equipment identity, access instructions and the last service record together. · Record the actual service date, installed filter specification, observed condition and any issue referred to a technician. · Record the reason for an interval change, the supporting observation and the next review owner/date.
Compare two entered MERV ratings and documented pressure drops at common airflow against an assessed allowance.
Check the documented blower airflow/static point against the stated design band and pressure limit. · Save the documented post-service blower point and its comparison with the actual design limits.
Use Calendar dates for documented inspection intervals or Runtime threshold for actual meter readings; save the reviewed schedule.
Use a room balance record when both design and measured room airflows are available.
