How it works

Package coverage range

Lower product coverage produces the larger package count. Enter equal endpoints for a single coverage estimate; no universal bag size or waste multiplier is assumed.

Packages = ceil(area × (1 + allowance/100) ÷ coverage)

Separate joint geometry

A repeating rectangular cell counts joint intersections once. Finite edges, movement joints, irregular shapes and installation loss are excluded. Geometric litres do not convert directly to dry powder weight.

Volume(L) = area(m²) × [g(L+W)+g²] / [(L+g)(W+g)] × depth(mm)

Inventory and cost

Deduct whole compatible packages after rounding. Optional cost uses one user-selected currency and excludes tax, shipping, labor and accessories.

120 ft² with a user-entered 10% allowance and coverage of 80–100 ft² per package requires 2 packages. One usable package on hand leaves 1 to purchase; these are illustrative, not manufacturer recommendations.
