How it works

Cooling output and input efficiency

Calculate an energy-efficiency ratio from cooling output and total electrical input measured or published at the same operating condition. COP is a unit conversion of that ratio. This does not derive a seasonal rating or produce an AHRI-certified EER2.

EER = cooling Btu/h ÷ input watts; COP = EER ÷ 3.412141633; kW per refrigeration ton = 12 ÷ EER.

Matched seasonal and full-load rating record

Record a seasonal rating and full-load rating from the same matched system certificate and rating generation. Both values must be supplied. This retains the source pair without inventing a conversion between them or predicting power at another temperature.

Seasonal and full-load ratings are separate entered certificate values; no SEER-to-EER conversion is applied.

FAQ

No. Seasonal and full-load ratings use different test conditions. Enter both certified ratings from the same matched equipment; keep SEER2/EER2 separate from legacy SEER/EER.

Use your own records on the units and period shown. Verify current requirements, enter explicit zeros for absent amounts where requested and retain dated sources.
